Pet Health Insurance is one of the best ways to keep your costs down and still allow your pet to receive the best in veterinary care.  Whether or not your pet is young or old, there is a plan to fit your needs.  Pet Insurance can be used anywhere in the U.S., take your pet here, to a specialist, or anywhere on vacation and it will pay you back.  We have done some research for you and recommend the companies below.  As with any insurance, they all may not cover pre-existing conditions, but a few will after a certain time period.  There are plans for emergency only, some cover routine care, and some cover everything.  Please visit the sites yourself and pick the plan that is right for you.  If you have questions, they have 800 numbers, and the customer service is really helpful.

To make everyone's visit easier, if you do have pet insurance, make sure you bring your claim forms with you to your appointment and the doctor will sign it while you wait.

Trupanion - Trupanion's product is designed to be simple.  If an insured pet becomes sick or is injured, Trupanion will pay 90% of the actual cost of the diagnostic tests, surgeries, and medications - including coverage for heriditary and congenital disorders.  There is no limit per claim, per illness, per year, or per category - instead there is a generous lifetime limit that 99.9% of clients have never reached.  Premiums are determined by local costs, the breed of your pet, and its age at the time of enrollment.  YOur premiums won't increase nor will coverage be restricted due to your pet aging.  Your rates will change periodically only as inflation affects the cost of veterinary medicine.   Visit their website of a customized quote.
