Since we’ve had the blog up for a little while now and you may be wondering who is doing the writing, I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself. My name is Desirée; most of you probably know me as one of the receptionists here at OSSVH. I grew up in Ohio, near Cleveland and have lived in various places across the country including Washington and Virginia before moving here a few years ago to finish college.
I have been at OSSVH for four years now; time flies, doesn’t it! Since I’ve been here, I finished my Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Maryland, College Park in Environmental Science & Policy, specializing in Wildlife Ecology and Management.
I have been working in the veterinary field for past seven years and really enjoy interacting with all of our clients and their pets. I am especially interested in animal behavior.
When I am not working, I try to spend as much time outside as I can. I absolutely love the outdoors, especially hiking and try hit the trails at least once a week and more if I can. I hope to share some of my hiking experiences with you since I usually take my dog Sprocket, a one year old Otterhound, with me. The rest of my four-legged family includes two wonderful cats, Scully & Marleigh and a bearded dragon named Frannie.
I hope that everyone is enjoying the blog and please don’t hesitate to tell me what you think! We value your opinions and love to hear feedback. If you have any suggestions for topics, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
